The KCGOP 2024 Biennial Organization Meeting is almost here, a critical gathering where elected Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) will chart the course of the King County GOP for the next two years. At this meeting, PCOs, elected through candidate filing and primaries earlier this year, will vote on key leadership positions, review party bylaws, and shape the future direction of our party.
Who are the Elected PCOs?
PCOs eligible to vote in this meeting are those who filed for office during the official candidate filing week in May 2024. For precincts with contested elections, the winning PCOs emerged from the August 2024 Primary ballot. This meeting marks their first official duty, as they now hold the responsibility to elect KCGOP leadership and approve governing bylaws for the 2024–2026 term.
Offices up for Election:
The following leadership positions will be elected by eligible PCOs at the meeting:
While most positions are elected at-large, the six Regional Executive Board members represent specific congressional districts within King County.
Bylaws Review and Amendments:
The newly elected PCOs will also have the opportunity to view, amend, and pass the KCGOP bylaws, establishing the foundational rules and structure for the upcoming term.
Declare Your Candidacy
If you’re interested in running for a leadership position, please submit your candidacy declaration form within three days of the meeting to ensure your name appears on the printed ballot (listed alphabetically by last name). While nominations from the floor will be accepted, any candidate filing after this deadline will need to have their name individually written on the ballot by voting members.
