Joshua Freed was elected to his first term as Chairman of the King County Republican Party in December of 2020. Joshua has been active in Washington state Republican politics for over 25 years, starting as a campaign manager of a state house race and later serving as both Mayor of and City Council Member for the City of Bothell. Joshua understands how critical grassroots activism is to our success.
Joshua was the lead on I-27, an initiative to stop Heroin Injection Sites and most recently helped lead one of the largest grassroots efforts in Washington state history, qualifying R-90 (rejecting comprehensive sex education in our Elementary schools) on the 2020 general election ballot.
Joshua is a proud, lifelong Washingtonian. He was born at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, graduated from Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, and married his college sweetheart, Lindie, a year after they graduated from Seattle Pacific University. They have five children and live in Bothell.
