Florida’s SB 1072 just passed its first committee, and it’s following the exact same pattern we’ve fought for years in Washington State: task forces, “extremism” portals, and speech‑policing frameworks disguised as “safety.”
When deep‑red states start adopting the same policies as blue states, we have a serious problem. These laws outlive administrations, and once the machinery is built, it can be weaponized by anyone who comes next. Americans need to be paying attention — and speaking up — before these systems become permanent.
