About our keynote speaker:

Sheriff Ed Troyer brings nearly four decades of dedicated service to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, including his current role as the elected Sheriff for the past four years. Throughout his career, Sheriff Troyer has excelled in various law enforcement roles, including federal task force assignments, 15 years in patrol, as well as specialized assignments in Special Operations and as a Detective. His 20-year tenure on Sheriff Paul Pastor’s staff as he further served as the Media Relations Director and Executive Director of the Pierce County Crime Stoppers Program along with many other department programs. 

Sheriff Troyer is actively involved in numerous national law enforcement organizations, where he shares his expertise on critical law enforcement issues across the country. In addition to his law enforcement contributions, Sheriff Troyer has demonstrated a deep commitment to public service through his involvement in various non-profit initiatives.

Sheriff Troyer’s philanthropic efforts extend beyond law enforcement, as evidenced by his seven-year tenure as the Washington State Gambling Commissioner, as well as his role as the Coordinator of the Toys for Tots Program. Furthermore, he served as the Board Chair of Tapco Credit Union and currently holds the position of President at the Fuson Foundation.  Sheriff Troyer is also a founder and Executive Director of Charlies Dinosaur, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in various impactful ways.

Sheriff Troyer continues his  unwavering commitment to serving his community and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
