Refund Policy for Online Payments and Donations

1. INTRODUCTION
This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all financial transactions, including but not limited to donations, event registrations, membership fees, and merchandise purchases (collectively, “Payments”) made to the King County Republican Party (“KCGOP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through any of our online payment platforms, websites, or digital portals.
2. NO-REFUND POLICY
2.1. Finality of Transactions. All Payments made to KCGOP are FINAL and NON-REFUNDABLE upon completion of the transaction. This includes, but is not limited to, donations of any amount, event registration fees, membership dues, and merchandise purchases.
2.2. Acknowledgment. By making a Payment to KCGOP, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to a refund for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to change of mind, inability to attend an event, dissatisfaction with services, or any other circumstances beyond KCGOP’s control.
3. TRANSACTION ERRORS
3.1. Technical Errors. In the rare event of a demonstrable technical error resulting in duplicate charges or incorrect amounts being processed, KCGOP may, at its sole discretion, review such cases individually. Documentation of such errors must be submitted in writing to the Treasurer within five (5) business days of the transaction.
3.2. No Guaranteed Resolution. KCGOP does not guarantee that any refund will be issued even in cases of technical error, and reserves the right to make final determinations regarding all transaction disputes.
4. TAX CONSIDERATIONS
4.1. Tax Deductibility. Please note that donations to KCGOP may not be tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. KCGOP is a political organization, and contributions may be subject to different tax treatment.
4.2. No Tax Advice. KCGOP does not provide tax advice. Donors are encouraged to consult with a qualified tax professional regarding the tax implications of their donations.
5. AMENDMENTS
5.1. Policy Changes. KCGOP reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
6. GOVERNING LAW
6.1. Jurisdiction. This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
6.2. Venue. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in King County, Washington.
