| King County Republicans, In our First Fifty Days since being elected on Dec. 7th to KCGOP leadership, as a team, I don’t think we have stopped moving! It continues to be an honor to serve you and I am proud to share a list of our accomplishments. As I write this we have just completed the last district election for all 17 districts. This is a proud and historic moment for King County Republicans, having given power back to the PCOs to elect their leadership! We want to thank each and every one of you for participating in this process. THANK YOU for getting involved in the political process and making it what YOU want it to be. In that spirit, we pledge that EVERY dollar you invest in your local King County government is on mission. We have been listening to what you want and below we provide the following measurables for two of our favorite things: |
| Transparency and Accountability |
| Before we do that, we also want to send out a heartfelt “Thank You” as well to Mathew Patrick Thomas for leaving King County Republicans in sound financial standing. Because of that, it has enabled us to accomplish much of what we’ve done right out of the gate! Since Dec. 7th, the KCGOP leadership has: 1. Reduced our payroll. By embracing a strong volunteer force and retraining our team, our base Admin/Marketing was reduced by over 50%. 2. Supported all 17 Legislative Districts with electing their leadership. Historically, these positions would have been appointed by the Chair. With the change in the Bylaws on Dec. 7th, that responsibility was passed back to the districts to elect their own leadership. In doing this we filled 2 LD Chair positions that were previously vacant as well as adding dozens of leadership roles that include chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer, committee and advisory boards. We are up to 28 members on our Executive board. That is a WIN to celebrate! 3. Further reduced our overhead. We released our current lease on the Bellevue Office, saving for the short term $3,000 per month. With our growing team we need a larger space that better fits our needs. In addition, the goal with reducing our overhead is to reallocate those funds to our “on mission” goals of supporting Republican candidates and promoting Republican principles. 4. Invested in our future. Before we took office, KCGOP owned no computer! We invested in a high quality Mac that is now owned by KCGOP, that enables us to house, build, clean and own our data. This action also restores our ability to run our own consulting and media functions which takes us to our next point….. 5. Created a Media team! We have re-engaged and/or opened four Social Media accounts, which we will use to support our Republican candidates and keep you informed. We’ve already seen many of you jumping on board and following and sharing us. If you haven’t so far, follow us on: FB, X, Instagram and Tik Tok. Links are below. 6. Our New ON-MISSION target is (after our reduced operating costs):30% to CANDIDATES: Resource, Equip, Support.40% MEDIA: Narrative management, education, podcast (w/sponsorships), social media, newsletter, print and merchandise.20% TRAIN / EDUCATE / EQUIP: This includes our PCOs, KCGOP Leadership, candidates, voters and the public.10% COALITION: Building relationships in our communities through a “Resource and Support” fund. We agree with President Trump’s new White House Press Secretary now allowing Podcasters, Bloggers and Social Media Influencers into the Brady Briefing Room. We ARE navigating a new media landscape and are embracing that to reach a broader audience through diversity and innovation!
