The Washington State Senate may take a significant step to remove parents’ rights tomorrow, Thursday, March 27th 2025. That’s when a State Senate Committee will hold an executive session that could bring to the floor of the Senate, HB 1296 – the bill summary of which reads: “Medical Services and Treatment: The rights related to notification of medical services and treatment are removed.” If it passes, school employees could have more power and influence over guiding your child than you will, despite research consistently showing higher parental guidance leads to better mental health, stronger social skills, reduced risk-taking and higher academic achievement.
