Gov. Bob Ferguson earlier today released a statement in support of the Democrats’ latest version of their unconstitutional state income tax bill, Senate Bill 6346.
The bill would erase Washington’s status as an income tax-free state, further eroding our state’s economic competitiveness, without providing any significant broad-based tax cuts for working families. As Democrats in the majority have acknowledged through their words and legislative maneuvers, the tax – if implemented – will eventually target everyone.
Washington doesn’t need or want a state income tax.
