In week 7 of the legislative session, House Republican Caucus Chair Peter Abbarno highlights three bad Senate bills on their way to the House:
🚨Senate Bill 6346 would impose a state income tax on Washingtonians. It’s unconstitutional, unnecessary, and we know it will eventually hit everyone. We need to kill this bill before it’s too late.
🚨Senate Bill 5360 would grant the state attorney general unprecedented power to investigate, prosecute, and incarcerate tradespeople, farmers, and ranchers for minor crimes.
🚨Senate Bill 5974 would allow an unelected state body to overturn the elections of sheriffs in Washington state. We believe the citizens of Washington should retain the right to elect their own sheriffs regardless of how unelected bureaucrats feel.
