The recent audit by King County of the Department of Community and Human Services is a classic example of how out of control government spending has become. Did anyone in the King County government (other than Councilmember Reagan Dunn) actually stop to think for a second about what would happen if they increased the grant grifting operations by 6,700% over two years? Does anyone who works in King County at a managerial level even care?
Reagan Dunn was right to call for the FBI to investigate this one.
No matter how corrupt and wasteful you might believe government is – just remember it is always worse than you think.
Remember, government hates it when you start looking at how they operate, and they really don’t want you to know how they squander your tax dollars. Government will never reform itself.
