In Washington State, the Democrats are focused on making life miserable for renters. One way they can do this is with the current version of another long-failed public policy – Rent Control. The current version still alive in the legislature is one that will help increase rent by 7% per year. So, in 9-10 years, everyone’s rent will double. How does this help people afford rent? Nobody has a good answer to this question, but not every Democrat has signed onto this dumb idea either.
