Cutting taxes is not enough to reform bad government. It will be inevitable that we have to downsize government – even at a local and state level. The challenge is that we can’t trust the special interests or bureaucrats to do this even remotely competently or honestly just because they receive fewer tax dollars. I believe most good government people who want to address the abuse of bloated government need to do a better job to study and understand how government works today. It will be easier to downsize, reform, and fix government if you start with a plan. Plans are more effective if you have the research to avoid the worst outcomes and improve the likelihood of getting better outcomes.
