Nobody would do the work that I do if they were expecting to be recognized with awards. Generally exposing corruption and speaking truth to power wins you few friends and a pretty big collection of enemies. However, I’m a big proponent of volunteer work – and I do my best to demonstrate this belief as best I can and as often as I can manage.
It was a true honor to be recognized as the 2023 volunteer of the year by the WA State GOP last week. I truly was surprised by this unexpected reward, and until now, I never would have anticipated that they could keep a secret like this from me.
