In the small Town of Metaline, WA – another Clerk/Treasurer caught stealing tax dollars. With an annual budget of $440k, she managed to steal $225k (minimum) over 5 years. She was originally exposed by some local citizens. It took years for the State Auditor to get around to doing an audit and report. The thief was arrested in 2025.
Remember, government hates it when you start looking at how they operate, and they really don’t want you to know how they squander your tax dollars. Government will never reform itself.
