We The Governed – Where is WA State Gov Waldo – Bob Ferguson? Vanished without much notice and how we find out…

As was recently reported, without notice, WA State Governor Bob Ferguson left the state. His staff is keeping his out-of-state location secret, claim it is “vacation” and then some out of state meetings. No details provided. This has started a “where is Waldo” moment for Bob Ferguson as people speculate and want to better understand.

This reminded me of how Ari Hoffman discovered where Gov. Jay Inslee was staying back when he and his wife did a Thanksgiving video telling people to stay home and not travel – while at the same time they were enjoying a ski vacation in Oregon. Using the same public records strategy, we can figure out where Governor Waldo Ferguson is this week and next, but it will take a few weeks before we can get those records.

This has also raised questions about Bob Ferguson remaining in Seattle, not moving to Olympia (just like he ran the AG’s office – via zoom and remote calls). Plus recent sources are complaining that many state agency heads are also not showing up for work in the office.

Remember, government hates it when you start looking at how they operate, and they really don’t want you to know how they squander your tax dollars. Government will never reform itself.
